Overview

Robert & Tina’s home has been in the family for generations. As the house aged, they noticed the temperature in the home becoming uncomfortable.

Problem

During a comprehensive energy audit, the Ecotelligent staff discovered a unique type of asbestos that only trained professionals would be able to notice. We also discovered a lack of insulation in the attic space that was likely causing the uncomfortable temperatures in the home.

Approach

Ecotelligent Homes utilized a partnership company to coordinate asbestos remediation. After the remediation, we were able to air-seal and insulate the attic space.

Outcome

This family home will be comfortable and safe for future generations due to new insulation in the attic and a proper air barrier. The rim joist insulation also helped improve the comfort of the home.
